On falling in holes

I spend quite a lot of time falling into holes.

Sometimes I dig them myself.

Sometimes other people dig them.

And sometimes I’m pushed.

  1. And sometimes when I dig them myself I just want to curl up at the bottom and stay there.
Instead I find myself climbing the ladder out -they are usually quite large holes- and spluttering out words that sound like…I didn’t mean to fall in there…I thought it was just a little puddle….who dug that trap anyway?
Ah, well, has anyone got a fair sized spade so I can help someone else out when they dig themselves in?

    1. Yup, always a contest – gathering strength to climb the ladder/do the digging v. staying curled up at the bottom. Especially if the holes have duvets in. When will they invent portable escalators?!
