On Christmas Jigsaws – day 1

Every Christmas, my family does a jigsaw puzzle.

This year they’re doing one without me, so I’m doing one without them… πŸ™‚

DB is helping, but hasn’t had nearly as much practice…

  1. Love jigsaws and you have done the SKY first which is often the hardest part so press on and I look forward to seeing the completed puzzle. If I lived closer you could borrow some of mine to do!

    1. Hehe! That would be awesomeness πŸ™‚ These days I rarely (if ever) do a jigsaw twice, so borrowing them would be great! πŸ™‚

As for starting with the sky, that just kind of happened… I almost always start with the edge, and then choose something which stands out when rummaging for the next pieces. The sky took up the whole upper edge, and was the easiest colour to spot amongst the murky greens, greys and blacks that make up the rest, so I just carried on with it! As a kid, I used to do jigsaws a couple of times with the picture upwards, then turn them over and redo them by shape not colour. It doesn’t make much difference if the pieces are blue or cardboard-grey so I was taken back a few years and had something to concentrate on πŸ™‚
